Catalogue Note
Mount Tabor is generally believed to be location of the Transfiguration of Christ, and it is located in Lower Galilee at the eastern end of the Jezreel valley. The Rhenish landscape may be a result of the confusion with the Mount Tabor near the town of Montabaur in the Rhineland-Palatinate in South Germany.
