Catalogue Note

These three panels originally formed the central sections of the bottom register of the retable for the chapel of St. Caprasius or Cabras in the church of San Miguel in Tarazona in western Aragon (see fig.1). The retable is documented as being completed on 3 October 1533. St. Caprasius was the martyred bishop saint of Agen in France.
