Condition

The actual painting is warmer in tone and has less contrast in the colours than the catalogue illustration suggests. The single panel is bevelled on all sides. Two small paint losses are visible along the upper edge. The paint surface has grown slightly thin in the brown tones, but otherwise the is in good condition. Inspection under UV-light is impeded by the varnish, although some scattered blemishes in the varnish layer become apparent. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame, in good condition. (JD)
