Woodcuts, 1508-10, the set of title and 36 plates, very good to fine impressions, from the edition of 1511 with Latin text on verso, M. 126-7, 130-1, 133, 136-7, 140, 142-3, 146-7, 150-1, 154-5, 158-61 on paper with a High Crown watermark, 25-50mm margins all round, some sheets with discoloration in the margins and some surface dirt but the most part in remarkably good condition, old vellum over boards, lettering piece on spine, title lettered along foot of text block

Condition

There are traces of pale brown numbering in upper right corners. Most of the plates have pale water-stains in the upper corners. In the first 13th plates there are also some associated repairs in the blank paper in the centre of the upper margins, all well away from the image. There is also some surface dirt in the lower right corners as a result of used (turning the pages). Title page with small repairs at upper left edge of sheet. Holl. 147 with a curving repaired tear from the centre of the lower margin to outside the borderline.
