Mauro Gandolfi Bologna 1764 - 1834

It is often difficult to differentiate between the drawings of Gaetano, Ubaldo and Mauro Gandolfi because they worked in such similar styles and treated such similar subjects. In this case, the use of red and black chalk, which creates a more superficially decorative impression, together with the facial type of the model which seems in a later taste, suggest that this is by Mauro.
