Catalogue Note

Blind Cupid attended by putti is a subject much favored by Domenico, but such scenes are usually set amongst the clouds. In this unusual composition, the group plays in a landscape, with Cupid reclining against a hillock with his quiver of arrows and a hunting dog nearby.
