Catalogue Note

This drawing cannot be definitely connected to a surviving work, although it might be associated with the Prophets and Angels in the pendentives of the Duomo in Piacenza, which Guercino painted in 1626-27.  The style of the drawing accords with a dating in the late 1620s.
