Condition

Condition quite good overall. Four stains at the corner from where glue was once used to secure the page to a mount. A spot at the centre of the upper margin, and some surface dirt to the left edge. A piece is missing at the right-hand side of the lower margin and a small area of damage near the stain of the lower left corner.

Catalogue Note

Other anatomical studies by Figino are known, generally pages from albums.  The largest corpus is in the Gallerie dell' Accademia in Venice where many anatomical studies with a Bossi-Celotti provenance are preserved.1  Occasionally, Figino combines anatomical observations with figure studies see, for instance, a page from the Bossiano Album in the Gallerie dell'Accademia.2
