Catalogue Note
This drawing seems to be the only known signed work by this obscure but highly accomplished artist, whose style is reminiscent of that of Lieven Cruyl. It was one of seven views by the same hand exhibited at Bernard Houthakker, Amsterdam in 1964, but was the only drawing in the group that was signed.1
