Description

  • Giovanni Antonio Burrini
  • a caricature of a seated prelate conversing with another man
  • pen and brown ink and wash over black chalk

Provenance

Wilhelm Koenig (L.2653b)

Condition

Unframed. Laid down. The ink has sunk rather, and as a result has corroded the paper in a few areas, such as along the folds of drapery in the lower left corner. There is a slight vertical crease near the left margin from the sheet being laid down. Two very small dark spots in the upper right corner. The sheet has yellowed slightly, but the image is still strong.
