Condition

Damage lower right, visible on the image. Some repaints scattered on the surface. Old repaints in the background: on the walls, abose the sitting woman, in her shawl, her dress and her chair.

Catalogue Note

Il s'agit peut être du tableau exposé par Dunant à Douai en 1821, Les apprêts d'un départ, n°141 (mention honorable). Ce tableau fut acquis par la Société des Amis des Arts puis a appartenu a monsieur Campion, économe du collège royal de Douai (cf  les Salons retrouvés, Eclat de la vie artisitique dans la France du Nord 1815 - 1845, Tome II, Paris 1993, page 61).
