Condition
The painting is in good condition.
The canvas is in fine condition with a clear and taut surface.
Upon close examination under ultraviolet light, there is a small spot of retouching on the right elbow of the main figure, as well as a little retouching on both legs of the left most figure. All retouching is only visible under ultraviolet light.
The paint layers are intact with the brushwork being well-preserved and in stable condition.
The colours in the catalogue illustration are quite close, but the actual painting is not as bright.
