Catalogue Note
The present work belongs to a series of vibrant abstract compositions inspired by Gaudi's distinctive architecture in Barcelona. Having lived and worked in the south of France for many years, Graham has also been influenced by the the vivid Mediterranean tones experienced around his Provencal studio which are clearly evident in the energetic abstraction of the present work.
Born in Dublin, Graham initially trained as a linen designer before studying at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. He has exhibited extensively at institutions such as the Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast; the Art Tank Gallery, Belfast and with the Royal Ulster Academy.
