Catalogue Note
Between 1911 and 1914 John Rädecker lived and worked now and again in Paris. In these for art history revolutionary years, Rädecker must have developed his modernist style. He saw work from artists from the École de Paris and his fellow country men who resided in Paris as well. From this period several drawings are known which depict French elegantly dressed women, so called cocottes. They relate to the sculpture, offered here for sale.
