Attribuito a Giovanni Segantini (Arco 1858 - Schafberg 1899)

From a first hand inspection there are losses of pigment along the right-hand edge, all over the table and in the top left-hand corner of the canvas. Other losses are visible on the first slice of pumpkin on the left, on the pumpkin in the middle of the composition and the slice on the right-hand. There are old retouches over the areas mentioned. The ultra violet light confirms all the previous losses and reveals the presence of fluorescent varnish spread over the surface. The signature is not coeval. It needs a careful cleansing and restoration.
