comprising two sulphide silhouette male bust portraits facing each other, a pair of single-sided glass circular medallions inscribed David Secundus and Robert Tertius, an oval portrait medallion of a classical lady, another smaller on a blue ground, and another of a Greek male, to sinister, all framed

Catalogue Note
The pair of silhouettes are almost identical to a pair attributed to Apsley Pellatt illustrated by J.Smith, James Tassie 1735-1799, p.35. The circular medallions for David II, King of Scotland (1324-1371) and Robert III, King of Scotland (c.1340-1406). Both are from the workshop of James Tassie.
