tallest gates 285cm. high, 272cm. high, 88cm. wide; 9ft. 3½in., 8ft. 11in., 2ft. 10¾in.; the small gates 121cm. by 90cm.; 3ft. 11¾in., 2ft. 11½in.; the piers 138cm. by 28cm.; 4ft. 6¼in., 11in.; the balustrade 116cm. by 58cm.; 3ft. 9¾in., 1ft. 11in.

comprising: a pair of tall gates (one gate now reduced in height), two small gates, four piers, and a section of balustrade

Catalogue Note

The design of these gates copies ironwork in the cathedral of Laon, France, and was made for Mallett's shop at 40 New Bond Street, circa 1910. The left hand gate was shortened by Mallett in order to accommodate it in the present shop. Mallett can recommend a metal-worker to the purchaser in order to restore the gate to its
original size.
