of oval composition, worked in tent stitch in polychrome wool and silk threads in gros and petit point, with a central shield with an unidentifiable coat-of-arms, with an armour helmet above surmounted with a rampant lion, with large scrolling acanthus leaves to each side, the whole surrounded with flowers and foliage, on a red ground, now mounted in a giltwood and glazed frame
