UNUSUAL JADEITE, DIAMOND AND ROCK CRYSTAL RING

Centring on a deep emerald green jadeite cabochon of fine translucency, set on a rock crystal base, within a decorative scrollwork mount embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds, further enhanced by three pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds on each side, the diamonds together weighing approximately 3.75 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold.

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the jadeite cabochon is of deep emerald green colour ("lao-keng"), in fine translucency. Under illumination, there are some minor dark inclusions and clouds which are very common to "lao-keng" type of jadeite and not seen in normal lighting. Diamonds are probably of E to F colours, VS to SI1 clarity. The rock crystal fitted under the jadeite cabochon is colourless, very clean and clear. Condition: Unique and creative design in jadeite jewellery, in very good condition.
