Description
- Buddha approximately 37.45 x 24.96 x 7.90mm; and Guanyin approximately 53.80 x 19.72 x 10.75mm.
- MOD
One of highly translucent icy material carved as a laughing Buddha, set within a frame of brilliant-cut diamonds, surmounted by an oval ruby; and the other of lavender tone, depicting a serene Guanyin holding a vase in one hand, supported by an oval cabochon ruby set within a brilliant-cut diamond surround; both mounted in 18 karat blackened gold. Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the icy jadeite Buddha is exceptional translucent, close to semi-transparent. There are a few white spots under illumination, and minor green patches across his shoulder down to the belly, which are not noticeable in normal distance. The lavender jadeite Guanyin is translucent, of meidum intense mavue colour. Generally, both oval rubies together weighing approximately 1.75 carats, are of intense red colour, eye clean. Diamonds altogether weighing approximately 0.75 carat, are probably of H to I colours, SI clarity.
Condition: Very good craftsmanship that the expressions of both figures are very pleasing, both pendants are in very good condition.
