Description
- Dimensions approximately 180.00 x 140.00 x 63.00mm.
Of rectangular form, the cover centring on two jadeite plaques of translucent white and light green celadon tone, carved with two confronting mythical beasts to a pendant chime, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, within a picturesque landscape of blossoming trees resting amongst dense rockery beneath billowing clouds, set with textured yellow and blackened gold, emerald green jadeite, and mother-of-pearl, the corners each concealed with a lobed onyx, edged by white gold ropework, to a waisted base embellished by yellow gold decoration and cabochon onyxes, supported by splayed trefoil legs, mounted in 18 karat white, yellow and blackened gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the two half-moon shaped jadeite plaques are of icy and soft green colour respectively, both of fine translucency. Other darker green gemstone decorations fitted on the lid are also jadeite, of slightly mottled appearance in semi-translucent to opaque texture. Mother-of-pearls are of white with pearly lustre. Onyxes fitted at corners and sides of the box are of opaque black. Diamonds are probably of H to I colours, VS clarity. The entire box weighs approximately 1.05 kg.
Condition: Unique creation with fine craftsmanship depicting the details of a scenary picture. In very good condition.
