The pendants composed of ruby bead and diamond clusters, the palmette surmounts set with round diamonds, each centering a carved and fluted ruby, the whole set with 152 round diamonds weighing approximately 5.50 carats, mounted in 18 karat gold, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered N.Y. 34980, pendants detachable. 

Condition

The rubies are a deep purplish red color, are semi-opaque to opaque, and exhibit surface-reaching inclusions and small chips. One tiny diamond missing in the cluster of one of the pendants, not evident to the naked eye. The diamonds are approximately G-I color and VS-I clarity. In good condition overall. Pendants detach. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels on one earclip and numbered 34980 on the other.
