Description

Of shield shape, composed of a hinged segment decorated with horizontal and vertical rows of turquoise baguettes, bordered by segments of pavĂ©-set round and single-cut diamonds edged in black enamel, turquoise segment raises to reveal the rectangular dial, mounted in platinum, movement by Movado, dial and clip signed Cartier.

Condition

Movado movement, Swiss, 17 jewels, numbered on back of hinged clip: 38W9286-798. Signed Cartier on hinged clip outside. The movement is rare (the caliber size 8X4L is not listed) and was possibly special ordered by Cartier from Movado. In very good working condition. The watch top opens by depressing a small button at the side, near the top of the brooch. The turquoise varies slightly in coloring and the diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS clarity. Minor loss and damage to the enamel in a couple of spots, but the piece is in good condition overall. See Important Notice Regarding Condition of Watches on page 335 of the catalogue.
