Description

  • TONY DUQUETTE
Composed of 8 gray blister pearls within gold collets of conforming shape, spaced by 6 cushion-shaped aquamarines supporting dark gray baroque cultured pearl drops, mounted in 18 karat gold, length approximately 19 inches, signed Tony Duquette.

Condition

The aquamarines weigh approximately 180.00 carats and are a light very slightly greenish blue color and are eye-clean. The blister pearls exhibit interesting irregular shapes and wrinkling of skins, with very nice orient of pink, green, and blue. The baroque pearl fringes are of a deep greenish gray color, with obvious overtones of pink, aubergine and green. In very good condition. Signed Tony Duquette on clasp.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
