Catalogue Note
Accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 0606526, dated 3 July 2006, stating that all the rubies with a total weight of 18.11 carats are natural, of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating. This colour variety of ruby may also be called "pigeon's blood red" in the trade. The appendix stating the natural rubies "possess a richly saturated and homogeneous colour, combined with a high degree of transparency, and a finely proportioned cut. In addition, these remarkable gemstones have been spared of thermal treatment. Such a combination of characteristics is rare in natural Burmese rubies." Also accompanied by GRS report numbered GRS2006-021099 (Award No 207).
