Catalogue Note
first edition. Windus travelled with Commodore Charles Stewart in 1720 to treat for peace with the emperor of Morocco on behalf of George I. A treaty of peace between Britain and Morocco was signed at Ceuta in January 1721, and from then until May of that year Windus collected material for his account the country.
