This remarkable composite atlas brings together a selection of some of the most important and scarcest printed maps and plans of London from c. 1666 to 1746, pre-eminent among them John Rocque’s Plan of London and Westminster, in its first state, with the accompanying index map, and his map of the environs of London, both published in 1746, the terminus ante quem for the composition of this volume.
