Catalogue Note
first edition of Keith's account of his travels in America. A Scottish Quaker, Keith first travelled to America in 1684 and there became the leader of the Christian Quakers, for which he was denounced by William Penn in 1692. He then returned to England where, in 1700, he was ordained into the Anglican Church. He returned to America to preach between 1702 and 1704.
