Fürer, a Nuremberg lawyer, journeyed to the Holy Land in 1565-1566 and there are detailed visual representations of Sinai, the Temple and the Holy Sepulchre to accompany the text. The work first appeared in Latin, edited by Georg Richter from Fürer's manuscript, in 1620.
