Catalogue Note

The map of the Piedmontese territories belonging to Sardinia is after the twenty-five sheet map Carta corografica degli Stati di S.M. il Re di Sardegna (1683) while that of Genoa is after the twelve-sheet map Carta dela rivera de Genoa (1685) of Chafrion.

The additional group of maps relating to Switzerland are mostly by Homann's Heirs but the general map is by John Rocque after Rouvier (1760) and the map of Berne by Dury after Loup (1766).
