Condition

This painting is lovely condition. The canvas has been lined using glue as an adhesive. The surface is stable and the paint layer has been cleaned, although remnants of old varnish do remain in the darker colors. There has been no abrasion or paint loss of any consequence. On the top edge above the palm trees there are a couple of retouches and another dot or two in the sky has been added. Other than this there appear to be no other restorations. This picture should be hung as is and treasured for its excellent condition. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
