including an Italian lace and piqué work Brit Milah infant carrier and cap, Ancona, c. 1868
This carrier and cap was used for the Brit Milah of Cavour Servadio, born Ancona, March 14, 1868, died Ancona, September 8, 1924.



Together with an Italian hand embroidered Brit Milah dress and infant carrier,  Piedmont, c, 1889.
This dress and carrier were used for the Brit Milah of Beniamino Vittorio Bedarida, born Nizza Monferrato, August 16, 1889, died Tangier, September 29, 1965.

Provenance

The first, by descent to the daughter of Cavour Servadio, and thence to his daughters, the present owners
The second, by descent to the daughters of Beniamino Vittorio Bedarida, the present owners

 

 

Condition

Some yellowing to all pieces but otherwise in good condition.
