Description
Of annular design, depicting the profile of Dogaressa Maurocena Grimani, decorated with red and dusty blue enamel, inscribed 'Maurocena Maurocenæ 1597', within a border of rose-cut diamonds, suspending a later floral motif panel similarly-set with an articulated fringe of pearl drops, French assay marks, detachable brooch/pendant fitting.
Condition
Diamonds bright and lively, please note it is not possible to estimate the weight of diamonds due to the cut. Enamel bright and in very good condition. The pearls with a medium lustre on average, some displaying rosé and green overtones. The loops fitting the drop panel to the sides are both open on one side, could benefit from attention from a professional jeweller. Jewel commemorating the coronation of the Doge Marino Grimani's wife Maurocena. In very good condition.
