AN EMERALD AND DIAMOND DEMI-PARURE, WEMPE, AND A PAIR OF EARRINGS

Description

Comprising: a necklace and a bangle, each of stylised twisted design and embellished at the front with a dragon's head, its jaws pavĂ©-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, its eyes with cabochon emeralds, necklace length approximately 380mm, bracelet circumference approximately 170mm, both signed Wempe and numbered, British import marks for London, 1997; accompanied by a pair of hoop earrings of complementary design, post fittings, part illustrated.

Condition

The necklace accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Wempe, no. 1953, stating that the piece is set with 50 diamonds weighing 0.43 carats in total, estimated colour F/G, estimated clarity IF, as well as two cabochon emeralds. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold, inscribed 1953 and maker's marks for Wempe to inside of clasp. Weight approximately 157.5 grams. One gold link slightly damaged. The bangle accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Wempe, no. 1954, stating that the piece is set with 50 diamonds weighing 0.53 carats in total, estimated colour F/G, estimated clarity IF, as well as two cabochon emeralds. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold, inscribed 1954, maker's marks and signature for Wempe to inside of clasp. Loose clasp, needs attention from a jeweller. Earrings: Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Weight approximately 16.4 grams. Each piece showing signs of light wear. All in good condition.
