Description
Comprising: a brooch designed as a stylised flower head, set with circular-cut diamonds and cushion-shaped rubies, later pin fitting; accompanied by a pair of earrings, each designed as a cluster set with circular- and single-cut diamonds and similarly-cut rubies, post and butterfly fittings.
Condition
Brooch: Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.5-4.0 carats, estimated colour H-L, estimated clarity SI-I. Rubies of mixed colours, ranging from slightly purplish-red to a dark red hue, medium to high saturation of colour. Typical inclusions visible under 10x magnification. Signs of moderate surface abrasion to all rubies. One diamond slightly loose. Signs of lead solder to reverse of brooch and pin. Later brooch pin. Composite jewel. In overall good condition.
Earrings: Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.5-1.0 carat, estimated colour H-J, estimated clarity VS-SI. Rubies of a reddish-purple hue, high saturation of colour, well matched overall. Typical inclusions visible under 10x magnification. Both earring posts slightly bent. Would benefit from a professional clean. In overall good condition.
