SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BRACELET, 1920s

Description

Designed as a series of pierced chevron links, millegrain-set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, embellished by two rows of channel-set calibré-cut sapphires, length approximately 160mm.


Condition

Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.5- 5.5 carats, bright, lively stones throughout. Sapphires a medium blue hue with moderately strong saturation of colour. Some traces of gold solder to reverse of bracelet, and slight discolouration near to clasp, not visible when worn. Final link with twin tongue fitting a little loose. Scratches and indentations throughout consistent with age and wear. Does not lie flat. Safety catch to underside, secure clasp. In good condition.
