Description
In the Garland Style, the open work frame embellished with stylised foliate motifs millegrain-set with circular-cut diamonds and suspending two pear-shaped stones, the centre and articulated drop each designed as a cluster, the oval and pear-shaped sapphires respectively dressed by circular-cut diamonds, detachable brooch fitting, collapsible pendant fitting.
Condition
Mounted in silver and gold. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.0 - 5.0 carats, bright, lively stones. Sapphires a dark blue with strong saturation of colour, each with typical inclusions visible with a 10x lens. Cushion-shaped stone measuring approximately 8.3mm x 6.8mm x 5.5mm, estimated to weigh approximately 2.91 carats. Pear-shaped stone measuring approximately 13.15mm x 7.15mm x 5.4mm, estimated to weigh approximately 4.06 carats. Evidence of rhodium plating to frame, traces of gold solder to reverse of central sapphire, not visible when worn. Later pendant and brooch fitting, might have been part of a larger jewel. In very good condition.
