RUBY AND DIAMOND BROOCH, 1930s

Designed as a tied bouquet of flowers, set throughout with circular- and single-cut diamonds, highlighted with circular- and calibré-cut rubies, later pin fitting.

Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.5-5.5 carats, the principle stones weighing approximately 0.50 carats each. The bright and lively stones of mixed colours and clarities. The rubies of light red to purplish-pink colour, with light to medium colour saturation. Typical inclusions visible under 10x magnification. Three rubies heavily chipped to surface and girdle. Evidence of lead solder to reverse. In overall good condition.
