of baluster form with a straight slightly everted neck and a splayed foot, applied in iroe-takazogan of gold, copper and shakudo with a group of quails and butterflies hovering among stems of chrysanthemums and peonies, two pairs of confronting ho-o birds in shades of gold and silver hirazogan around the neck, the rim and foot applied in gold, signed Wakamatsu(?) sai Masaaki (Shomei) with copper and gilt seal with archaic characters
