An inlaid bronze cylindrical vase by Kuroda Kiichi, Meiji period

of cylindrical form and supported on four elephant-head feet,  finely applied in shibuichi, shakudo, silver and gilt takazogan with an eagle perched on a branch of flowering cherry, with its wings outstretched on the alert for prey, bordered by a band of butterflies among floral sprays, the body engraved Munetsugu, the base signed Kyoto Kuroda zo
