Description

the first of straight hira-zukuri, suguba of nioi, ko-maru boshi, ubu-nakago with kesho-yasuri and one mekugi-ana, mei Keisho (thunder quelling) Bizen (no) suke Munetsugu, Ansei 3 (1856, 8th month), 14.5cm., 6 3/4 in.; rectangular shakudo tsuba; silver fuchi-kashira, koiguchi, kuri-gata and kojiri engraved with breaking waves, the kojiri signed Yasutoshi; without kozuka and kogai; and a yari mounted as a tanto, the blade of typical form carved with a dragon and ken horimono, suriage-nakago, orikaeshi-mei (folded over signature) floral mon Yasutsugu motte namban tetsu saku kore, 19.5cm., 7 5/8 in.; with saya and tsuka of ribbed roiro
