blade of straight hira-zukuri, broad suguba of nie, ko-maru boshi, masame-hada, ubu-nakago, mei Minamoto Kunishire, Genji 1st year (1864), 8th month, 24cm., 9 3/8 in.; in shirasaya; with koshirae comprising red ishime lacquer saya and tsuka entwined with a pine tree in shakudo, fuchi, kozuka and kogai variously signed Kakusensai Yoshimune, hi Mitsukane (made to the order of Mitsukane), and dated Meiji Kanoto hitsuji (1871)
