A group of nineteen various tsuba, 18th/19th century

Seven tsuba of soft metal, the First of shibuichi carved and inlaid in iroe takazogan with Otafuku performing oni yarai from the window of a thatched hut, signed Yasutaka and kao; another of shibuichi inlaid with a cock and hen; five brass tsuba variously carved and inlaid with sakura, stylised birds, galloping horses, grasshoper on a marrow plant and Tekkai sennin respectively; the twelve remaining tsuba of Iron, of marubori and sukashi types, inlcuding three Echizen and two Choshu school tsuba, the last two signed Mitsutsune and Tomochika respectively
