Catalogue Note

In 1985 Reeb introduced the motif of the "Green Line", Israel's border until the Six-Day War, into his oeuvre. "The Line always appears accentuated, painted in bold green, like a twisted ribbon laid blatantly over the painting, yet disconnected from it. The Line is not painted according to the geographical map, but from memory." (Miri Ben Moshe, 90 Years of Israeli Art, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 1998-1999, p. 604).
