"I feel like an outcome of this landscape and the surroundings, it is branded on me, it is what I am... For me, the imperfection in the landscape is sublime..." (from conversations with Igael Shemtov quoted in the exhibition catalogue, Tel Aviv, Loushy Art & Editions, Igael Shemtov Low Landscape Low Reality, 2004, n.n.).
