Both mounted behind glass.
1) Minor undulations to paper, speck of dirt, lower middle.
2) natural irregularities to handmade paper

Catalogue Note
Padamsee's limpid watercolors are the result of his decades-long studies of Chinese ink wash techniques. These delicate works underscore the artist's maxim that, 'form is never imposed, it liberates itself from a succession of gestures.' (Marta Jakimowicz, Akbar Padamsee: Works on Paper - Critical Boundaries, Bombay, 2004, p. 10).
'The silhouetting strokes are sensitively coarse, sharp and fluid... while the restless, very lightly placed washes and jagged, graded tonalities interact with similarly treated dark blobs and acute whites of uncovered areas. Subsequently the whole body seems to be ... dissolving in the air and light...spilling out into the adjoining space. (ibid. p. 11).
