Condition
Stable condition. Original canvas. Stretcher bar mark is visible running horizontally (with associated minor craquelure) 2 inches below the top edge. Pinhead-size loss at top right corner; several pinhead-size losses as well as a 1 ½ inch long line of loss at extreme left edge - all probably due to frame abrasion. There are two repaired tears: one in the middle of the figure's left thigh, and the other in bottom of figure's right thigh, patches are visible on the reverse. Under UV light, there is a 2-inch long area of inpainting in figure's bottom left thigh to address the loss; several pinhead-size dots in structure at lower left to and a 3-inch long stroke of inpainting at left edge near the vase to address loss. A few other nailhead-size spots of inpainting throughout the background. There are 4 strokes of what appear to be old discolored inpainting near top edge in pink pigments of background and 2 strokes in the brown pigment near left edge at center. All visible under raking light.
