• nickel lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, wolf's tooth winding, movement stamped Special, 8 adjustments, gold cuvette • white enamel dial with hairline, Breguet numerals, gold foliate pierced hands, subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and register for 60 minutes • 18k gold circular case, hidden hinge, the band fitted with lever for lock, back engraved with monogram • case and movement signed by maker and retailer, dial signed by retailer
Condition
The movement is in good order and running at time of cataloguing. However, a service would improve the striking work. The hours are slightly sluggish but striking in phase, and the minutes and quarters are striking clearly. The dial appears to be in fairly good condition with some minor imperfections to enamel. The case hinges are slightly tired.
