Patek Philippe introduced this model, Ref. 570, in 1938, and continued production until approximately 1970. This model was made in two series, the first bearing cal. 12-120. The second series, which was launched in 1950 and to which the present lot belongs, was fitted with cal. 12-400. A member of the Calatrava family, Ref. 570 has become one of the most iconic oversized watches made by the company.
