• cal.10-110 circular nickel lever movement stamped twice with the seal of Geneva, mono-metallic compensation balance, 18 jewels, micrometer regulator, adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions • two-tone gilt dial, applied gold Breguet and dot numerals, gold feuille hands, subsidiary seconds • 18k gold square case, enlarged flat bezel, snap back • case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer • with an 18k gold Patek Philippe buckle
Condition
The movement is running, however it may require service soon. The dial is lovely with the matte center and the brilliant outer ring. It is clean with some small marks and aging. The case has a brushed finish with some very light scuffs. The width is 25mm.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1942 and sale on August 5th, 1943. Together with the original Cartier bill of sale dated August 31st, 1943 and a fitted Cartier presentation box.
This model, Ref. 439, is sometimes referred to as the 'flat tank.' It is a rare watch: according to our research, the present example is only the fourth known piece in yellow gold from Ref. 439 to appear at auction, and of those, the present lot is the only one with this dial design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time the present wristwatch has been offered at auction.
